We provide services to the unincorporated areas of the County of Los Angeles in addition to performing various services for 44 contracted cities. The City of Los Angeles is not serviced by our agency (except for small unincorporated areas within or adjacent to). Please check our Animal Care Centers page to determine whether we provide services to your area.

*Staff are available Wednesday-Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., to answer field licensing/canvassing questions.
All calls are routed through our Communication Center/Dispatch for response. The Communication Center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Due to high call volume during certain periods, there may be a delay to speak to an operator.
Calls requesting service such as for a dog bite, loose dog, etc., must be called into our Communication Center (listed above) in order to have an officer dispatched. Calls to check the availability of an animal in our care should also be directed to our Communication Center.

We ask that you visit our Frequently Asked Questions pages prior to submitting your request. Please consider using our Online Service Request tool, which is an interactive request processing tool designed to help you get information pertaining to your area of interest immediately. This tool also handles Animal Noise Complaints. Submissions to questions by email can made using the links in the section below.
