How We Enforce (Administrative Citations)
A “Notice of Violation and Administrative Fine,” commonly known as an administrative citation, is an alternative enforcement tool that may be used instead of a criminal citation for specified violations of Los Angeles County Code (LACC).

The sections subject to enforcement by administrative citation are:
- *LACC §10.20.030: License — Required — Fees and Other Charges;
- LACC §10.28.060: License — Required for Certain Activities and Animals — Certain Animals;
- LACC §10.20.180: Tag to be Worn by Animal;
- *LACC §10.20.185: Microchipping of Dogs and Cats Required;
- *LACC §10.20.220: Vaccination Requirements;
- *LACC §10.20.350: Mandatory Spaying and Neutering of Dogs and Cats;
- LACC §10.32.010: Dog at Large; or
- LACC §10.38.010: Keeping of Roosters;
- LACC §10.40.060: Excessive Animal Noise
